Our Story

What started as a simple raisin bread challenge became a life-changing experience.

​

My partner wanted homemade raisin bread and asked me to make it for him. While making his bread, I decided to create my own loaf recipe too. To our surprise, it turned out soft, delicious, comforting, and without the bloating we often felt from store-bought bread.

​

That moment inspired me to continue baking wholesome homemade breads with simple ingredients and care, especially so my one-year-old daughter could enjoy breads made by mommy without so many processed ingredients, and hopefully remember and recreate them herself when she is older.

​

As a family with Jamaican and Cuban roots, food has always been a way of bringing people together, sharing traditions, and creating lasting memories around the table.

​

To keep our kitchen calm and comforting for our little one, all of our breads are thoughtfully handmade in small batches.

​

Many of our signature flavors begin with homemade nut pastes, fillings, and flavor bases prepared from scratch in our own kitchen.

​

These breads were created to bring comfort, nourishment, and wholesome goodness to the table, breads that feel homemade, soft, and made with care.

​

As Wholesome Slice Bakery grew, so did our desire to share these breads beyond our own table. What began as homemade loaves for family became thoughtfully curated gift collections designed to help others celebrate birthdays, welcome neighbors, thank friends, honor milestones, and create meaningful moments together.

​

As we shared our bread collections with friends, family, and early taste testers, we began to see the impact they had. People enjoyed trying the different flavors, talking about their favorites, and sharing them with loved ones. Those moments reminded us that homemade food has a unique way of bringing people together.

 

That realization inspired us to grow beyond our own table and create thoughtfully curated gift collections designed for sharing, celebrating, and creating meaningful connections.
